They gave the disabled $250 stimulus check and took away their raise for the rest of the year which would have amounted to $296. Stimulus….what stimulus…. The joke is on us…

I’ve been told that only certain people on social security or ssi are goin to recieve this 250.00 stimulus check..seems unfair but as of yet I’ve not gotten mine and I’m on ssi..so it must be true since we should have gotten them by now..

I’m wondering where to inquire about NOT having received the $250 stimulus check. Where might that be?

What the hell. Only certain people get the $250 stimulus check. If i wasn’t registered by Jan. 09 I am not eligible. The stimulus bill wasn’t even passed by then. I was eligible in March, so I don’t get it. Once again the Government is screwing around with us. I wasn’t eligible for the $300 stimulus package either because my income was earned (as a job) but they sure took taxes out of it. If I can’t collect then they shouldn’t be allowed to collect from me either. Our Government really sucks. If you are on social security already or just waiting for your check you should be able to receive the $250 stimulus check. What a joke.

I really don’t think that an extra $250 is going to do anyone any good! All this is doing is taking away from other situation in desperate need of funding!!!! If someone is in so much trouble that $250 looks good to them, then they need to get help in other places…Quit putting the country into more debt and quit giving social security to those who have only work here long enough to get it…. Too many immigrents are getting SS after only working the minimum amount of years and those of us who have lived and worked here for our whole lives are getting the shaft because there isn’t enough money to go around anymore…

I think they should give each retiree a $250.00 per month raise on their social security. After all they have worked 40+ years and paid in taxes and social security, and members of congress retire after only a couple of years and draw their yearly salary of $100,000.00+ as retirement pay. The government could save a lot of money if they would reduce the number of representatives each state has by 1/2. Because of the advances in tecknowledgey and the great improvements in communication, that is all each state needs.

Another thing, Lyndon Johnson should have left Social Security as it was and then there would be no problem having enough money to take care of retirees.
